We are planning to add new things regularly, so be sure and check back.  The secret's out - LWBC is an outstanding, Bible-believing, Bible-teaching, Bible-practicing church in northwest Tarrant County.  This is our 75th year and God has used His pastors and people to minister faithfully here, and, through mission-giving, literally around the world.  We are conveniently located a quarter of a mile north of Jacksboro Highway.  Drive by sometime and check us out.  Drop in on a Sunday...and don't wait too long, time is running out on all of us.

75th Anniversary Celebration

September 23 - 10:30am

On September 23^rd LWBC will be celebrating its 75th Anniversary and we want you to be a part of this great day.  Seventy-five  years ago twenty adults began what has been a great congregation through eight decades.  Like many, I was raised in this church as a child, introduced to Christ here and baptized by LWBC.  I was also married at our church’s facilities.  Multiplied hundreds of people have a similar testimony, in one way or another.  It would be our joy for you to return for a day to relive the old memories of your time at LWBC.   

•  David Locke, pastor of Highland Missionary Baptist Church, Dublin, for the last 3_ years, will be our speaker for the morning service.  David, my brother, was raised here as a boy and is a full-fledged Lake Worth Bullfrog!  His wife, Sharon, will be with him as he comes home for this day of celebration.
• We will have an awesome “catered meal” at noon, with great desserts by our own LWBC ladies.
• My oldest brother, Al Locke, Jr., will lead some of the music in the morning and then we will put on a Heavenly Highway Hymnal Singing  in the afternoon at 1:45pm. If you love the Bill Gaither Homecoming music, you will love the great sound of this great old music.  Al was a part of the church back in the 1950’s and 60’s when our dad was the pastor.

God has led us this year to establish a “Project 75” Fund.  The idea is for each person or family to give a dollar or ten dollars or a hundred dollars for each year of the church….$75 or $750 or $7500 or whatever God directs you to give.  Many are already giving and praying that by September 23rd we will have received gifts totaling $75,000. NOTE: None of this offering will be used for the personal benefit of LWBC, but distributed for “gospel” opportunities to reach people for Jesus Christ.  Your gifts are tax-deductable.  We have already received over $14,000 toward this goal.
